A quiet journal of daily living, beauty, motherhood, and the art of carrying what matters.

This journal was created for the small, steady things that are easy to miss. Light shifting through the house. The counter marked by the day. A table set with care. Toys left out, mid-play. Words written slowly.

Tenere is not about becoming someone new.
It is about carrying what is already here with intention.

Why This Exists

I grew up close to mountains and weather, places that taught me how much beauty lives in patience and quiet repetition. Seasons mattered. Hands mattered. So did meals made from real ingredients, objects built to last, and the feeling of being rooted somewhere, even when life shifted.

This journal is where I gather those things now.

Here you’ll find reflections on daily living, food, beauty, motherhood, art, and the inner work of staying present in a world that moves too quickly. Not advice. Not instruction. Simply noticing and tending.

On Motherhood & Life

I am the mother of two young boys, and much of my life is shaped around them their energy, their tenderness, the way they anchor me firmly in the present moment. They are not content here, but they are the reason this space exists with honesty.

Life has unfolded in ways I did not plan, and I’ve learned not to name those chapters as broken. Instead, I carry them forward integrated, softened, and still becoming.

Tenere is where I practice that carrying.

On Art & Making

I work with my hands when I can watercolor, cooking, arranging, creating small beautiful things meant to be used rather than displayed. One day, this space may hold my art more formally. For now, it holds the process.

Nothing here is rushed.
Nothing is polished past recognition.
